How We Built Something Worth Believing In

Green Fulfilment started in Glasgow in 2016 with a 20,000 sq. ft warehouse, a clear-eyed view of where eCommerce was heading, and a conviction that fulfilment could be done with less waste and more accountability. Since then, we’ve grown to over 125,000 sq. ft of UK warehouse space, opened an EU fulfilment centre in Venlo, Netherlands, and built a team whose staff retention rate sits above 90% over the past three years.

Rukhsar Ahmed

Rukhsar spent his early career in corporate and entrepreneurial roles before acquiring a mail fulfilment business and recognising that eCommerce would outpace traditional mail fulfilment. He holds an MBA from Strathclyde Business School and brings 16 years of industry experience to the business. As MD, he leads strategy and commercial direction at an eight-figure business with over 100 employees across multiple UK and EU sites.

Cain Fleming

Cain came to logistics from a background in digital marketing and eCommerce, having built businesses in SEO and performance marketing before co-founding Green Fulfilment in 2016. That experience gave him a practical understanding of what eCommerce brands need from a fulfilment partner: speed, accuracy, visibility, and a team invested in their success. He led the development of the Go Green platform and was named Young Business Person of the Year at the 2024 Glasgow Business Awards.

From Glasgow to Europe: Our Growth Story

  • 2016

    Launched in Glasgow as one of Scotland's first dedicated eCommerce 3PL fulfilment centres. First facility: 20,000 sq. ft.

  • 2017

    Removed plastic mailing bags from outbound operations and raised recycling rates to 98%.

  • 2018

    Rebranded to Green Fulfilment, formalising our commitment to sustainable fulfilment. Replaced remaining plastic packaging products with paper alternatives. Achieved 50% revenue growth.

  • 2019

    Introduced wireless, handheld device-based operations, removing paper from warehouse processes. The second Glasgow fulfilment centre opened.

  • 2020

    Third facility opened. Total UK warehouse footprint exceeded 100,000 sq. ft.

  • 2022

    Go Green platform launched. Clients now manage all orders, inventory, and reporting through a single portal. Nominated for EY Entrepreneur of the Year.

  • 2024

    Acquired Omni Channel Fulfilment Ltd, a fellow UK B Corp 3PL, strengthening UK warehouse capacity and operational capability.

  • 2025

    EU fulfilment centre opened in Venlo, Netherlands. UK and US brands can now hold stock within the EU single market, with faster delivery times to European customers and no cross-border friction.
