We ask customers to give us at least 2 weeks’ notice when they are expecting a more than 20% spike. We ensure we have staff on standby internally across sites and also with our agency partners. We also work closely with customers and understand if the promotion is going to focus on a particular set of products than we optimise the workflow for that products bulk picking and packing. A big part of managing the surges is linked to our shipping partners as there is no point having all the orders packed but the carrier is unable to collect them. We work with shipping partners for all extra collections to ensure smooth and timely delivery.
